Description

Melamine Crystal Product Introduction

The Melamine unit contract was signed in December 1999 between Iran and the Italian design company (ETCE), with the subcontractor Nargan, and was commissioned in June 2003. The production capacity of this unit is 20,000 tons of melamine crystal powder per year.

The technology used is high-pressure, without the use of a catalyst, and the off-gas produced is recycled back into the urea unit. Melamine is mainly used as melamine formaldehyde in industries such as rubber manufacturing, cement and concrete pouring, molding powders, adhesive production, nitrogen-bearing industries, leather manufacturing, textiles, carpets, fire extinguishers, paints and coatings, colored resins, paper industry, multilayer sheets, laminates, and decoration.
